Remembering Jon Peters
Honoring Jon's Legacy
We mourn the loss of Jon Peters. He loved his family, his friends, his business team members, and Memphis. Jon was a talented, passionate, funny, and generous servant-leader. He was the co-founder and an invaluable board member at Rising Together Foundation. Jon supported and advocated for our mission to provide under-served students in the Memphis-area with excellent summer enrichment programs.
Jon founded and became President and CEO of Anovo in 2013, where he grew the company from a handful of employees to over 400 team members. He was extremely proud of the impact that Anovo has made on the lives of the patients they serve, as well as the employees who work there and make it possible. In 2025, Anovo won the Commercial Appeal’s Top Workplaces in the large company category, which is a testament to how much he cared about providing his employees with the best work environment possible.
Above all, Jon was a loving and devoted husband, father, son, brother, and friend to so many people. Jon positively impacted a countless number of lives. Over the years he hosted numerous gatherings for family, friends, and colleagues during the holidays and other reasons for celebration with Jon usually serving as head grill master.
Jon is survived by his wife of thirty years, Jackie, his three sons (Jonathan, Jerry, and Jackson), his mother, Ruth, his three brothers Jeff (Geri), Judd (Nicole), and Jason (Emily), his mother-in-law, Deloris Stone, his brother-in-law Jeff Stone (Verna), and many cousins, nephews and nieces.
